Re: State of the Forum
I will have a look at the latest support information to see if it says anything specific about chrome.

Re: State of the Forum
In the end I deleted all cookies and that solved it.
(It's a ballacher having to log back into everything.)

Re: State of the Forum
I've cleared my cookies and cache several times and am still having to log in every time.
Happens with both my laptop and phone.
Cheers for checking things out, mark.

Re: State of the Forum
I use Cookie Autodelete to do it automatically but most browsers I know of have settings to clear cookies and other data when closing the session.
Using Lastpass as a password manager fills everything in seamlessly if I get logged out due to inactive time.

Do you have any shared settings between your laptop and phone, like a browser sync?

There's nothing wrong with the forum set up. All these issues are down to the users and their browser. Everything is working fine for me.

That is why I am asking the question.
Browsers like firefox offer a synchronisation between PC/Laptop and Phone/Tablet browsers. If somebody has a set up like that, they may need to delete cookies in all places before trying to log back in via any browser. Othewise there is a potential for the sync app to retrieve cookies via a sharing routine and by that put the cookies that were just deleted back on the browser.

Re: State of the Forum
As far as I can tell, I have no shared settings between my phone and laptop; sync is off in both.
All my other forum sites work fine; it's just this one that's acting up. I'm baffled.

Have you deleted cookies? With me, deleting the talkforum cookies wasn't enough, I had to delete ALL cookies. (It's a nuisance having to log back into everywhere though.)

I'm still using the 23.229.203.186 link to log in. Could that, somehow, be the problem?

Quite possible. You were supposed to stop using it weeks ago!

Are we all sorted and everyone back?
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.
