I seem to recall she started by reading the news on H&J then parlayed it into some sort of film review show then onto a show with the rank hypocrite Ian Collins and then recently threw a strop on Twitter when TS failed to acknowledge her as the first female host on the station.

Any and all of those facts may be wrong - it’s a Custis Brothers embellishment situation.

The first female host was Samantha Meah on the stations opening day, 14 Feb 1995. If she meant the first female host of specifically TalkSport (as opposed to Talk Radio Uk or Talk Radio), then I don't know who was first but I'm not sure making the tea for Ian Collins for a few weeks until he felt threatened and threw her out qualifies as 'host'.

I think she was claiming the first on TS as the film review show she did for a microsecond before it was cancelled. It’s all in her Twatter account somewhere.

3 day weekend presented by Amy Lawrence and Dom McGuinness on Monday nights was a regular show before she'd even talked up her role during the travel bulletins on H&J.

She was good with H&J though, never heard her with Collins but I imagine that would've been pretty grim.

Chessy and Jerina Adams were the travel two for H&J. Always a good natured exchange back in the day.

If memory serves, over time, Jerina lost a bit of patience with Paul and GOA’s gentle joshing and reverted to just announcing the traffic. Chessy exploited it to her benefit and now has a career in the meeja.

Someone in management - either at tS or the travel providers - told them to drop the banter. TBF Jerina never seemed comfortable with that segment, while Chessy was at least a natural at the H&J appropriate small talk.
