What’s the general atmos like out there, End-o? I’m guessing that the public are well into the tournament. I’ve always had an interest in the old Soviet Union, it’s imperial history and post break up Russia and even more so these days with the World Cup. An incredibly fascinating, vast and diverse nation.

Watching the two part series by Frankie Boyle - Frankie Goes to Russia. The fella hates flying and yup you gu seed it, he traveled around the WCF destinations by train, car and bus. He went to Rostov on Don. A grim, industrial city which is twinned with Glasgow appropriately enough and share two things in common with it’s Scotch compatriots - an endemic drink problem and it being one of the most violent cities in Europe.
