There's a vuvuzela emoticon here: is that what you meant? No idea how to copy-and-paste it.

It was offside, though, wasn't it?

Seemed marginal

I'd rather they got decisions wrong and then you can either start celebrating/slagging the officials off straight away, like we have been doing it since time immemorial.......watching the Vanarama each week I see the worst refs and linos ever born and they make unbelievable fuck ups, but you just accept it, VAR is another way of sucking emotion out of the game.

Watching that game and wondering if Silva is still the 4th or 5th best player in the world.

Fair play to Iran, they gave it their all, and their supporters seem a happy bunch. If they werent a cheaty bunch of cunts Id feel more sympathy towards them, they must have been the worst so far for play acting.

Total bollocks, as per.
There is too much at stake for bad decisions to ruin outcomes of games.
The game is 90-100 minutes long; stopping for 30 seconds a few times each game will not be the end of football.
It works in rugby; it will work in football. They just need to communicate things to the fans (as they do in rugby brilliantly at the moment), so that they are not left in the dark.

Poor old Iran. Like Morocco, so much entertainment, but they cannot score.
