It was offside, though, wasn't it?

Seemed marginal

I'd rather they got decisions wrong and then you can either start celebrating/slagging the officials off straight away, like we have been doing since football was invented.......watching the Vanarama each week I see the worst refs and linos ever born and they make unbelievable fuck ups, but you just accept it, VAR is another way of sucking emotion out of the game.

It rebounded back off the offside chap and then into play, Lash, so was offside.

Total bollocks, as per.
There is too much at stake for bad decisions to ruin outcomes of games.
The game is 90-100 minutes long; stopping for 30 seconds a few times each game will not be the end of football.
It works in rugby; it will work in football. They just need to communicate things to the fans (as they do in rugby brilliantly at the moment), so that they are not left in the dark.

Comparing football to rugby is laughable, totally different flow of play and the role the referee plays, but fair enough, you want your football experience to be like a McDonalds advert with everything perfect.........good luck with that.

I'm backing Slaven taking Keane out by the end of the tournament. :box:

Fair do's, although my point when agreeing with Alco was more to do with hanging around after a goal waiting for the decision to come, it just feels wrong.

Oirish tuff v Slav tuff.

As per, Bilic. With a gentle stamp on hand when Keano is down.

No he isn't. He's nowt but a caravan dwelling Robbie Savage. All mouth and battered corduroy trousers. He was great for intimidating refs and backstabbing team mates and now for the odd withering soundbite but when proper hard players where on the pitch Keane may have well have been in the dresssing room.

You underestmate the Slav, landlord. IMO.

Scary geezer Roy was destroyed by Mary Poppins as a pub car park chancer. "Hold me back lads".

I think something bad must have happened to Keane when he was young.
Maybe something involving a priest.

Pure speculation, obviously.

shearer wouldnt come out of the dressing room would he though, afterwards, because keane was waiting for him.

I think people underestimate good old roy. It takes true evil to deliberately snap somebodies leg like he did with haaland and then be pretty chuffed about it still years later in your book.

Yeah, Shearer looked genuinely terrified of the daft, pikey, so-called 'hardman'.

That is the tale about after. From Bellamy and others. But why would Shearer come out for a supposed fight? That is what we did when 14, come out for a fight.

His victory was on the pitch. Racy Roy Keane lost it badly. Shearer's look of disdain and knowing victory at Keane when held back is sublime.
