To need to catch up with ITV you would have to be living in the 1980s.

What about ITV2?

I assume it’s basically a channel for people who, while technically adults, still wish they could watch CBBC.

I’ve not seen that, but I used to occasionally watch ITV4 - the equivalent service for dribbling elderly folk - when I had access to a TV.

You’ve piqued my interest here.

Why do you no longer have access to a telly? Did you shoot it like a fat angry Texan who has just seen Hillary Clinton appear on screen?

Well, I do technically have access, but for reasons too long to explain, it is for all intents and purposes unusable, so I watch stuff online instead.

Mrs Reg doesn’t watch TV at all - she likes to read books, all of them serious with no pictures, and gets through about four a week.

It takes me about six months to read one. :(

I spent 90 minutes yesterday on the phone to virgin getting rid of my telephone and TV package and just sticking with my broadband. Took me ages to fight through the walls they put up to stop you from reducing your service.

Having just gotten the Google TV dongle for £60 which helpfully drags all my iPlayer, Netflix Disney etc etc streaming services into a single handy interface it dawned on me I didn't need to keep paying Virgin the £100+ a month.

The drop to £50 pretty much pays for the streaming services, including the much dreaded ITV hub - which is shit.

Google TV dongle thing - much better than my smart TV because I can see all the content from all the services in one place.

Television is for Gammons.

Well, with a boring cunt like you being the only other person to talk to then I can’t say I’m surprised.
