Yeah! About 8 or 9 miles or so. Why? :D

My daughter's ex has just moved there, near an old windmill or something.

Ballycopeland Mill?

By fuck, he's in for a culture shock! 8)

It can be lovely down there though. Funnily enough I personally think it's better in winter with the storms blowing in and the bleakness and low drumlins, and long empty beaches.

Even in the summer the beaches aren't packed..

The people will take a bit of getting used to. Especially the dialect.

And nearby Millisle is the only town or village in Ireland with more Jews than Catholics. :D

My granddaughter wants to make contact with him again, so I might bring her over.

Off to the Gloria Palace , Amadores in Gran Canaria on Monday .

Shit flight times but i can't fucking wait . Me and the Crab went there in 2013 for our 25th wedding anniversary , which my Dad paid for as a present . Got a message when we got there for us to phone home (as E.T would say) . Got the news my Dad had passed away that morning . Mrs Salem , as a big believer in all things spiritual , to this day reckons that he was waiting for us to go .

So this year we're going back for our 30th . Fucking great hotel , usually way out of our price range but it has been three years in the making .

Hopefully i'll still be able to get online to embarrass myself in the Daily Quiz , Fools Panel and the NFL thread .

Love to y'all :partyman:

Love to you too, Salem. Sad but lovely story about your Dad.

Have a great trip with the good lady and NFL next weekend! See you in the thread!

Mrs Subsub and I are off to Menorca tomorrow – can't wait :D

Like Salem, will still have a pop at the quiz and the NFL game.

Looking forward to a few barbecues, beers and sangria, and turning a slightly pinker version of my normal self.
