Get rid of saying to yourself "i have sinned" when you think of something from years ago or just only something from yesterday because automatically you feel bad.
Just say to yourself "i made an error" and you don't have bad vibes about whatever it is.

"Fact is our starting point" says Aristotle while Plato was a dreamer mystic type.
Everybody is either a Platonist or an Aristotelian.

Raphael was a Aristotle for doing up the pope's new liberty with this beauty. :)

Never heard of the author, but one of those that you find sticking out in the library and picked it up. Its a bit disjointed, and couldn't fully get in to it or the characters. Jumps about in places, and not in a great way. Maybe that's what it was intending, and smarter folk that me might like that. When the book sticks to dialogue, it has some nice bits. Overall : a bit meh, but easy to read when bored.

I read Purity about 5 years ago and fairly enjoyed it, and recently read The 27th City. I like his books and their OTT detail about the characters and their lives. I know nothing about the author, apart from a quick Wiki glance, but seems real book worms/club types think he's a bit of a prat. I tend to enjoy his work and read his books for long spells - read about 90 pages solidly of this before putting it done when I started. I'll maybe read Freedom or The Corrections next.

One of those writers I've seen for a while or had suggested as a next read etc, and never got round to it. Emerald City is about 9 short stories, and short as in 10-16 pages - perfect, anything more than 25 pages isn't a short story in my opinion...blethering a bit noo... but, I'm about 75% through this and I've enjoyed most of the stories. I will seek out a novel next from her. Interesting characters, well written and fantastic soundbites/quotes at times. Out of the 3 books I've been reading this past month, this has been the best.
