Canvey is an island, no one ends up there unless they are going there. It is not on the way to anywhere else, unless your destination is to drown yourself in the foulest depths of the Thames estuary.

You been to SarfEnd recently?

Lou’s from that bailiwick? Lou was it you? Alison Moyet too.

Not been to Southend in 15 years. And given I reside in Cornwall, it's not the sort of place I could just pop over to for a day out.

Bloody hell. Just had a look at train times from Penryn up to Paddington with two stops. It's five hours twenty one minutes and £51 one way. You'd then have to go across to Liverpool Street, Fenchurch Street or London Bridge and then go to Sarfend. It would take a whole day for just one a single journey.

After half an hour that was a seriously considered option.

Like Portrush but with more charlie, knives and wind.

Granted that was around 89, 90 so it might have got better.

I've never been on the Essex coast and I'm reasonably well travelled. It's not on my bucket list either unless it's one of my own waste which I can throw over Danny Dyer's loaf of bread. That's all I have to say on the matter really.

Well more fool you - there is some beautiful parts of the coast towards Suffolk. Even Leigh-on-Sea used to be relatively quaint back in the day. There's over 350 miles of coastline in Essex, it is not all like the dregs of the Thames Estuary.

I wish. That would have been worth the trip.

Nah, I was with some Lahndahn cousins for the day trip. It was an enjoyable day, if I'm honest but Canvey looked a bit grim.

It’s inconclusive until Blue decides that one of the suggestions is correct or he may have his own choice. Ultimately, there are three ways this thread can go a. he can decide whether he is satisfied b. he is dissatisfied and wants to continue or c. the thread just goes disbanded the list and dies.

Never c. Maybe after a few months, BB might have had a brainwave. Doubtful I know, but hey. It's like Maddie and JFK but we can solve it.

He's mid-late fifties, short grey hair and a bit of chub on him.

He's either a musician from a post-punk band or a radio DJ...I think he might be one of those rent-a-quotes you see on those BBC FOUR music docs...he may also do some of the Glastonbury coverage for the BBC.
It's doing my head in, anyone any idea who I'm talking about?

Charles Shaar Murray?

Already the world is queuing up to offer us free trade deals. Significantly, some of the countries first off the starting block are top 10 world economies the EU has failed to sign deals with despite trying for years: countries like Canada, the USA, and India. We should have international free trade deals ready to be signed the moment we leave the EU. This means a cut in the cost of imports – so cheaper prices – and our export market will receive a boost as global buyers will no longer be put off by hefty tariffs on goods they want to purchase from us.

Suzanne Evans July 2016. And the queue is.....?

Sounds like it was David Hepworth. Any closer to finding out who it was BB?
