When I run. I hate running. But when I do. I do it early. Before any of the lycra-cunts are out on parade. Running has become like Golfing. A fetish. Gotta have the 'right' trainers, gotta have the 'right' lycra pants ... etc. etc. Fucking hate all that shit. Everyone who I know who goes on these things (men) tell me they do it to check out women's arses. Okay, fine. But don't call it a 'park run', call it a 'perv run'.

If you run on hard surfaces, you could well fuck your below waist joints later on in life. Run on grass, swim or cycle. Great cardio workouts without the stress on your hips and knees and feet..

Cycle or swim - if possible - not run. Especially if you're not exactly young. Knees aren't evolved enough in humans to take it late in life. Like backs.

I'm doing a 10k in Milton Keynes next month. Didn't really want to but my friend asked and I dint see them much. Not really scenic, jogging around mk. I can still run but by knee feels sore for a day or two after. I do spinning and swimming more now. I've got a big ganglion on my knee but the doctors won't do anything about it.

How come you’re still running outdoors, Leado? I thought your cartilage had worn off and you were told you may need to get some gel applied?

It's been debunked a few times. Your body is designed to run, it can handle it. I've gotten all my injuries in running by falling over and eating shit.

Hence this bit...could well. That equals may/might.

I think there is a risk underpinned by those who have had knee and hip problems linked to hard surface running. Some will get away with it, some won't.

Different 'experts' will have different opinions.

I’m only running occasionally. I think my knee pain is due to weak hips so trying to sort that out . I only run once a week now, I used to do it 3 times

I always thought that asphalt etc was bad for your knees, but a friend of mine who has done umpteen marathons says that's a fallacy.

Yeah, several factors, included inherited problems.
