I hear they are pulled by donkeys with wheels in place of legs. And the beet crop is paid for in shiny metal discs and paper. Oh to be alive in these times.

Gig was brilliant, and contactless worked a treat. Rest of the day was shite however.

First time at O2, sigs to car park were crap, ended up in a bus lane which will no doubt receive a fine, Hillman's BBC waether forecast was shite as usual, light cloud 17, pissed it down most of the day and 13, Victoria and Albert museum had nothing to do with V&A, should have done research, rob dogs tried to charge me £34 for two at the Abbey when it was free last time the unwashed and bone idle took over Parliament Square, got bothered by phone zombies wherever we went.

Have promised myself that I will never go anywhere near central London again.

Eaststand wrote:no. That story was nonsense, it was quickly debunked. Theres no technology that can steal your contactless details from a distance.

Well played to the guys who proclaimed regular wallets they bought for pennies could protect your cards from thieves though, they must have made a packet.

No shit, unless youve got a really shitty quality wallet, contactless doesnt work through them.

Contactless uses tokens not your bank details, it is pretty safe.

I use my phone on the Tube with Samsung Pay (all the phones payment methods work) works a treat, saves me getting my wallet out.

Similar experience to Zammers. Contactless worked a treat on the Tube. In fact the only place I paid cash was in a Chinatown restaurant on Saturday and at the Casino.

I'll echo his sentiments regarding London in general....it's an unremitting shite hole of a place.
A joyless arsehole.

Other advice

Avoid eye contact
Don't start conversations
When they ask people to move down the carriage, if you do it will betray you as a woolly back.
Don't befriend tourists. They are expected to sink or swim.
Listen to Talksport and let it be a lesson to you

Carry a knife.
Don't jump barriers with a rucksack when being chased by the pigs.
