Your most boring holiday spot

Post by Petingo »

Isle of Wight for me.

I spent a tortuous week there in 2011 :(
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

Cleethorpes, must be the last resort. Mrs Z has relations up that way, but I'm not going back.

Got to be Rhyl or Prestatyn. Nothing to do except eat chips and feed one-armed bandits.

Wales is good. Spent several of my hols in Llandudno when I was growing up. The bumper boats on the pier were fab.

As a Brummie I'd be surprised if you didn't.
Same as Weston. Been there god knows how many times and can't remember a single time in adult life when I didn't meet someone I know who also came from Birmingham :D

BTW my comment about Wales was more tongue in cheek than serious .

Yeah Weston was the other we went to, and we actually saw the sea on rare occasions, it was either them two or Eastbourne but only went there once, oh and Paington.

I went back to Llandudno a few years back and took the old photos with me. I took some new ones at exactly the same spots, Great Orme, Happy Valley, West Shore, pier, etc. and it was surprising how little the old place had changed.

That is one hell of a scene - though maybe a bit tame by modern British seaside standards...
