Leaf Blowers

Leaf blowers - are they all that? Through the door catalogue fulll of them.
Don't they just move the leaves from here to there.

I've always wondered that.
Wouldn't it be better to have something that picks them up, rather than just moving them from A to B?

But then again, some people buy hover mowers that cut the grass without scooping it up at the same time. Madness.

We have a large tree in the garden, it dumps lots of leaves.

We got a blower than also sucked up all the leaves into a bag. The problem with it was that the blades that mulched up the leaves into the bag kept snapping. Back to a rake.

A while ago I was early for an appointment at a residential training centre in Bucks and I killed a while with a cup of coffee watching the groundsman use a leaf blower.
There were leaves in the driveways. He used the blower to blow them onto the lawns.
As it was windy they were all back on the driveways an hour later when I left.
Why do they do it?

Bit of damp and the don't work as the leaves stick to the grass. Prefer a rake.

Fucked a girl called Leif/Lief once in Nottingham. Nice shag, her old man was a TV and film producer I think.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Used to enjoy the old westerns. Here's Leif Erickson looking kind of macho in The High Chaparral
