I am going to bed at half 12 tonight then going to bed and getting up early to walk 20 miles of the start of the West Highland way (the flat bit) with my dug.

I bought a munro bagging map at the height of scaling 5 munros one weekend in the summer and I've scored off 14.

I went today and i got to Carbeth and my dug stopped and looked me up and down and started walking back because it was bucketing down.
There used to be a wee guy called Tam Weir who used to be on the telly on a Thursday night years ago from Springburn who used to walk in all sorts of weather with midges swarming him by the thousands and he just wore a tweed suit and woolly hat no Gore Tex for him.
He was my inspiration for walking since he came from a bogging housing scheme and lived into his 90's.
He has a statue at balmaha and a song dedicated to him.
