Having surgery next week. That's scary, they've also told me I can't lift anything for six weeks. They give you energy drinks to take the day before.

Have you considered writing? Writing will keep you motivated and your mind active. I'm not sure what your interests are besides sports and physical activities but you could write a novel or an essay, or review television programmes and films.

I have considered writing a book, for many years. I'll find some stuff to do, it's just a little tedious at the moment.
