My drink of choice is a non-poncy coffee, officially known as a "latte", but my local coffee-shop knows what you mean if you ask for "a coffee".

In my drinking days, which will soon be at an end, my DoC was a large Bacardi and lemonade... but basically anything but gin or Guinness.
Bacardi and lemonade, by the way ... you know it's not a drinkers' pub when they bring out the Long Tall Glass

What do you drink most of all when at home or out and about?

Do you drink tea, coffee or soft drinks regularly? Do you need coffee to even get started in the morning, or to give you a kick? Or have you stopped, or never drank caffeine in your life?

I prefer the taste of tea to coffee, but I drink coffee occasionally. I don't need it when I wake up, or to get the day going, but I'll have a coffee now and again at work, or even at home - a bag will do me 3-4 months, if not longer. I think tea tastes a lot better than coffee, and I'll drink tea for 'fun' whilst coffee is more for a change, or being social.

Weirdly I don't like coffee with milk, I only drink it black ; whilst I don't like black tea, but I need milk in it, to enjoy tea. I don't add sweetener or sugar. I buy digestives, rich tea or usually the Euroshopper equivalent now and again, but often I'll drink them without a snack, I don't have a biscuit tin, maybe that's the next step in early-middle age? Occasionally I'll get a cake from the bakery to enjoy with it.

I have gone through periods in my life of drinking Pepsi Max, Coke Zero, the Irn Bru diet version etc. I'd drink the full fat version too, but more seldom. At one point I was probably drinking far too much of it, but I now try to limit it to 2-3 cans a week. I don't particularly like it with a meal at home, I'd rather drink water, but tend to drink a soft drink on its own or with fast food.

I drink a lot of water. I might even drink too much (humble brag) but I got a litre drinking bottle a few years ago as a gift, and probably drink 2-3 litres a day, maybe even more sometime, usually at work, or in the house and often it'll take two/three gulps to neck a pint of water.

Anyhoos, what's the talkFORUMER'S daily drink routine like?

First thing: big glass of water, tea or coffee. Either Yorkshire tea or Azera coffee. Or a Nespresso.
Elevenses: more water, tea or coffee (no more tea or coffee for rest of day).
5pm: cheeky beer
7pm: glass of wine while I'm cooking
8pm: open a bottle of red with dinner
11pm: little snifter (usually whisky) before bed

Don't drink squash any more.
Rarely drink fizzy drinks, unless in a mixed drink/cocktail.
Glass of fruit juice now and again.
