School reports

My sister found my old school reports and brought them round. They are from the era where you were known at school, only by your surname.
In general; absolutely appalling, with the highlight[!] being a magnificent 19% for French in one end of year exam.
When I read them I can’t work out how I managed to get A levels, a degree and a career in the groves of Academe.
Still, I spent years writing equally damning reports about some who went on to success in many fields.

One old PE teacher, used to take err pupils fishing on the weekend. Never heard queerness, only went a couple of times, never caught a fecking fish though. A nice chap, I'd go a good egg over bent (with meaning not err queer).

I only remember one comment on a school report. It was from Doc Ward, our classics teacher - Lackadaisical about homework - He gave it to the whole class.
