Do you have to give a swab test or give a blood sample and send it in? I can see a number of problems with that.

Re: DNA test kits
Why anyone would willingly give DNA samples to random companies is a mystery to me.

I had a DNA test as a present. Turned out I was 95%+ northern European with some eastern European. Probably some cheeky Russian getting someone drunk.kancutlawns wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 9:49 amWhy would you do that?Vespa wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 7:48 pmMine was a swab.kancutlawns wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:53 pm Do you have to give a swab test or give a blood sample and send it in? Genetic info which can be stored on a DNA database somewhere, just doesn't appear pucka to me.

Re: DNA test kits
It's protected under GDPR, they don't sequence the entire thing (because it's cheaper not to) and storing it would be expensive too. It's benign really, but each to their own.kancutlawns wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 12:41 pm Genetic info which can be stored on a DNA database somewhere, just doesn't appear pucka to me.
