Re: Kate McCann contemplated suicide

Post by Royal24s »

I just watched a BBC report claiming that "people are disturbed that the Portuguese police missed the presence of this obvious suspect "

Well, that's a plain lie because they turned him over seriously within hours and rolled him out because he could not have been at the scene within the material times.
He was later put up as a suspect by the dodgy 2nd British investigation team, and again rolled out because he simply could NOT have been there at the time.

The honest and very professional Portuguese detective who first investigated this named this man a year ago and predicted that they would try and fit him up in some way !

Incidentally , what does this tell us about the BBC going along with a dishonest account which they MUST know is wrong ?
Can anyone doubt that they're going along with an agenda here ?

Unless they've sent their own private detective squad to the Algarve, Royals, I suspect they're just reporting it based on what they're told, just like every other news organisation.
Your obsession with the BBC is very worrying; it can't be good for you.

If this guy is convicted I wonder if the parents will be suing all the people who suggested they killed their own child?

And maybe they will be charged with neglect.

They've sued plenty of newspapers over the years.

No they'd have to be very careful indeed about that becoming a repeat of OJ Simpson.
The rules of evidence are different in a civil court and the standard of proof much lower. It's even possible that there'd be a jury.
If the defendant offered a defence that it was true, they could call the original Portuguese and British detectives who wanted to charge them, and produce the mass of inculpatory evidence which has been supressed.

In short, it could result in a judicial finding of fact that they killed the child.

That's hardly a defence is it ?

" The defendants must all be acquitted because others have committed the same crime and not been prosecuted "

There have been plenty of people over the years who have wanted to be sued to have their moment in court. But never happened as far as I know. Idiot lawyer and all round weird guy Tony Bennett did get sued for leaflet distrubuting in Rothley and other things, lost and I think has has to pay costs off monthly or something. Search Tony Bennett and my name here and plenty of posts about him. Can't remember exact details. Or just Google him.
