Meant to say, was up in London on Weds. BBC weather forecast said light cloud and 17. Pissed it down nearly all day with the needle nudging 13.5
It didn't 'piss it down all day' in London on Wednesday. It was dull and cloudy, with a bit of rain (as predicted by BBC weather forecast on Weds morning, which I checked).
So, you are calling me a liar then Subs. The BBC forecast I looked up on their website on Tuesday said 17 degs and light cloud for Weds. It was pissing down all the way up in the car from half eight until half ten. I parked the car in car par 1 at the O2 and walked to North Greenwich tube and got soaked. I then caught the tube to South Kensington, and as the train was travelling under the ground I couldn't swear that it was raining all of the 35 mins, but when I alighted it was pissing it.
Whilst at the V&A museum it was pissing it. I know this because the cafe is under shelter but outdoors. I then caught the train back to Westminster and it was pissing it. When I came out of the tube station at Westminster it was pissing it. I got soaked again walking to the Abbey. When I came out it was pissing it. Absolutely soaked again waking over Parliament Square. Got on the tube again and went back to North Greenwich. When I came up the escalators it was still pissing it. Mrs Z then spent the rest of the day moaning about what the rain had done to her hair
I have no idea what part of London you were in on Wednesday, but you were very fortunate. Then again maybe I dreamt the whole day including the excellent Jeff Lynne gig.
ps It had stopped when I came out at 22:15
