As far as him facing the charges in Sweden is concerned, the first one has lapsed purely because there is a five-year statute of limitations in Sweden, which he managed to evade by being out of reach since 2012. The second one is still valid.
Why should he not face that charge if there is evidence to answer?
It is sadly a feature of this forum to do things like calling them "spurious" because there is the eternal stupid conspiracy theory on top.
None of us know the strength of the evidence, but if he is innocent and has been set up, why would he spend years in hiding and hundreds of thousands of pounds of other peoples' money avoiding facing them?
