They turn out to be facts.

Leftist philosophy declares everyone in the world can share this and the endless cost can always be met by the rich who they despise out of sheer jealousy.

I'd be a little more sympathetic with Socialism, if you could separate the hard working from the parasites. The problem is, as you mention, their policies are based on envy, and think that those with a few bob, who have worked their balls of earning it, should just give a big lump away before they get their salary advice. There are loads of people in low paid jobs through no fault of their own, and these are the people who deserve help, not those who just want to take, and think they are entitled to do so.

This is why I have a lot of admiration for the proper Labour voting working classes who do not want to see their own hard earned just squandered on every vagrant wanting to come here on a freebie. These types actually want it recirculated amongst their own not given to boatloads of unemployable chancers.

It's the progressive left who have now taken over the working class left and are now imposing all types of trendy thinking upon them which the traditionalists object to.

The socialist types I have a go at are those at the top, or in charge, who like to prescribe equality of poverty to everyone bar themselves.

I have nothing against the old Labour voting old guard who are still clinging to the false idea that the current reds are still on their side. they ditched them a long time ago in favour of representing the worlds waifs and strays.

I have greatest respect for Rugby Union, they started it mid-way through the 19th century. Thankfully we grabbed it and turned it into a spectacle on 29th August 1895

They should stay and improve their own countries. Britain was a shithole 300 years ago until the people improved it
through sacrifice and struggle. Would they have come to Britain then ? Of course it was said those dodgy Dutch started the fire
in Pudding Lane, and building privies that the lazy British serfs don't want to build. Who will pick the turnips ?

Actually we improved our country by going to other countries and plundering their resources.

Indeed we did.

Pretty ruthlessly.

Although there are people here who will insist that we made those countries civilised in return.

Actually what usually happened was we sent traders and sometimes missionairies made deals with the rulers and began to trade with these countries. Dissident factions local warlord sand often covert underhand actions by the same rulers started attacking the traders and missionairies . That was enough in went the armed forces and took the country to protect the trade in most but not all cases trade not conquest was the original objective

By "we" you mean the aristocracy. The ordinary peasants had fuck all to do with the imperialism that we are told to feel guilty about.
Even those that took the "King's Shilling" joined up as an alternative to starving or a horrible time in prison.

No country has a blameless past, everyone was invading each other in those times.

We were just more successful at empire building than the others.

I don’t feel guilty or that I’m being told I should feel guilty.

Perhaps the people who feel they are being told to feel guilty for our past are trying to justify their hatred of minorites..........

Just a thought.

Who picked the turnips, strawberries, raspberries, cabbages, who worked behind the bar and in the restaurants and caffs and hotels before the UK joined the Common Market?
I only ask because no politician as ever asked that question, well, as far as I can remember no one has.
