Is Gary Lineker a national treasure?

Post by Maude »

Seen someone dispute this with me in the toxic Brexsh*t thread.

For me there is no question. He won many trophies at the top level as a player and has gone on to be an all-time great pundit. By all accounts, he's a great guy too and does loads for charity.

How could you not love him this summer when we all thought England were going to go all the way?

He really riles up the Gammon too with his utterly sensible talk of REMAIN.

For me of course he's a national treasure, and his politics just make me like him more.

Jug-eared has-been who won a couple of pans (thanks more to Gazza in 91) . Bet you hated him that year beating your beloved
Forest and denying old Cloughie his only chance of lifting the F.A. Cup.
Now a virtue-signalling bleeding heart who callously refuses to house any migrants in his mansion, just like Lily Allen, George Clooney,
JK Rowling and all the other drippy wet lettuce brigade.
6uild 6ack 6etter .
You will own nothing and be happy.

I'm always amazed that in this social media age people who act/make music/play sport think that they can pontificate to people who actually work for a living on what is best for them...........Lineker probably doesn't even know what Brexit is, the man is a complete charlatan.

It's not his views that one should be objecting to, but the fact that he and they are given the prominence that they are. He is no more important, learned, or influential than any of us.
He though, must think he is important, by his public announcements of his opinions.

If you don't want to listen to his views, don't follow him on Twitter.

It really is quite simple.

I abhor the wicked views of Farage and his cronies, so I simply do not follow them.

It's not like he's going on Match of the Day talking about the customs union now is it?

He uses those Jodrell Banks growing out of his skull to broadcast his pointless views as far as possible.

Then jizzes over a copulating couple.

A national liability more like, particularly to the British taxpayer.

A million and a half a year from single mothers and pensioners so that he can be taxied around the country to sit wearing a sweater talking bullshit to Alan Shearer and badly read an autocue.

Well worth the licence fee.

I don't follow him on twitter, yet somehow his latest load of "look at ME" bollocks seems to be omnipresent everywhere you turn.........anyway the cunt is probably only worried about Brexit because he might have to pay more for his big-eared sons posh public schools, or the price of lobster thermidor will go up in those poncey restaurants he dines at with Giles Coren and the rest of his media luvvie pals.
