The 'Party' Season. Xmas 'Do's' are they all that?

Post by carcinogen »

When is your office party? What are you wearing? Are you dreading it? Is the missus (or mister) going to get shit-faced and cause a scene? Are you going to fuck the secretary in the stationary cupboard? Are you going to make a slurring drunken proposal to the office intern you've had your eye on for the past year? All office parties do for me is to remind me of the frutility of existence. People with rictus grins prentending to be happy when deep inside they are dying. But that's just me. What are your experiences?

It won’t be stationary, - don’t worry about that, mister sub.

They are good if there is vol-au-vents ( prawn or chicken preferably) and decent sandwiches.

Actually work do's can be quite fun. I met my last missus through one. Poor cunt. She had no idea I was an alcoholic sociopath. We're still on good terms though. Bless.

I think the last vol-au-vents were made in the early 1980s, so I'd give them a miss if I were you.

You only go to a Christmas party if you can’t think of a believable excuse. Humbug!

Got my works Xmas party tomorrow. Should be good, provided the gobby, non-PC, divorced colleague doesn't shoot her mouth off when she's had a few...

Exactly.
I'll be wearing a Christmas T-shirt, not jumper :)
