There is a difference between pizza takeaway and retail pizza from supermarkets like Tesco although you've unwittingly answered your own question. Supermarket pizza is rubberised shite. You can buy a pot noodle and packet of Wotsits and eat in the comfort of your own home for next to nothing. The point being that's it's a crap, soulless experience, offers nothing exciting like going out with mates or family and must make one feel devalued in society. Patisserie Valerie sell cream cakes and stodgy pasties at ridiculously steep prices. Are you suggesting they're healthy?

The only decent pizza is made in Naples. Fact. Everything else is shite.

Dominos and papa johns are rapidly growing multinational businesses. Maybe the netto pizzas you have are rubberised . We’re a low wage economy now so it’s not surprising business like pizza express and Jamie’s Italians are struggling . The reasons Nando’s has thrived is it’s value for money

You said they're thriving. The reports I posted say they are not and that Pizza sales are falling. You've gone onto say that people prefer to eat pizzas from Tesco at home. So which one is it?

Nandos sell grilled peri-peri chicken amongst other things, they do not sell pizzas. Jamie's Italians sell not just pizzas but other items such as lasagne, pasta and salads, hence the title of the business.

I go to Pizza Express a couple of times a year and eat for free using Tesco vouchers. I've never spent so much as a penny in there (maybe that's why they're struggling - every time I've gone I've seen others using the same vouchers). It's far better than your Bellas Italias and your Zizzis at least, and there aren't too many alternatives for the old Tesco vouchers. It's fine for what it is.

I lived in Naples for over three years and there are a hell of a lot of shit pizzerias there too. More than half are aimed at ignorant tourists and many others get by on old reputations.

Save the pubs, abolish drink-driving and non-smoking laws and each pub has to have a lunchtime stripper on stage.
Halve the price of beers . Make it compulsary for all 9-5 jobs to have a 2 hour lunch-break. Everyone's a Winner.

Are you sure that you didn't read that the chairman is Luke Johnson who was known for turning around Pizza Express, had loaned the firm £20m?

Never eaten a pizza in Naples then Sub. You poor man. Make it your mission this year. I can't remember its name. But there is a real shithole pizza-place in the heart of Naples where all the locals go. Honestly, it's just a hole-in-the-wall. A shitfuck of a place. Best Pizza you'll ever eat. Trust me. You won't have any of the shit they serve in this country after tasting that.
