Is it wrong that I laughed about this? A combination of surprise and relief.
I might have done one - not sure but possible.

Yeah should be standard procedure when anyone leaves here to join terrorist organisations.

Can Javid overrule the law?
Will she get legal aid?
Many other ISIS recruits have been allowed back, so why not her?
Can the kid come to the UK?
Is she a threat to UK security?
Who will make the ultimate decision?
Who decides who will be that person/those people?
How can we ensure it's not another shit for brains liberal?

My view of the future.

Removal of citizenship revoked after appeal.

Eventually she will arrive back at Heathrow, in the company of representatives of the Daily [pick one] who will shepherd her to security.
There she will be picked up and arrested.
In magistrates court, bailed, before leaving to a secret location known only to the Daily XXX.
Back in court, pleas from defence; "young", "misled", "a young mother of a baby", "now repentant", "mis-quoted in interviews", etc.
Sentenced to a couple of years, suspended. “A more severe sentence would not be in the public interest.”
Allowed to change name/identity.
Off again to secret location again with press.
Then it’s; “My Story of Isis Hell”, book contract, interviews with Pierce Morgan, appearance on Loose Women.

Or have I cynically let my imagination get the better of me.

Nope, I think that's the most likely outcome. Javid's actions are just a smokescreen.

More posturing than a smokescreen.

You can't leave a person stateless and no other fucker will take her.

That being said we should make life as difficult as possible to get back here and if she ever does set foot in the country then she should be arrested and a lengthy jail sentence / de radicalisation program awaits
A joyless arsehole.

And cunts like the Sun and The Times told in no uncertain terms to not give her oxygen by having interviews with her too?

For those that don't know Micheal Heaver is one of Arron Banks westmonster chums. Nina Schick is a Cambridge philosophy graduate, full-time political consultant and pollster. Only one of them have thought through their argument.

You can't revoke her citizenship, she was born here. They have been revoking the citizenship of people who are nationalized citizens. Syria could deport her today to the UK.

I'd be happy if the two of them swapped places, that would be a fair exchange.
