I'm going to train to become a teacher

Fuck it. Why not.

Please do.
But don't forget to send us regular reports about your training and experiences in the classroom.

I didn't see the 'unedited' OP, if it was edited, must have been before anyone replied. I did move Jon and paolos posts. And I'll move your last ones as no evidence it was edited to see.

Top tip, if you see things that are a off, quote it and the quote won't be edited. And report it.

Kids already know how to drink, smoke, take drugs, and spell and punctuate incorrectly.

What would you teach them?

I'd promised an old schoolmaster of mine that I'd teach for a few years when I retired , and I would have too, except of course that they banned education in the mean time.
Pity really

Careful.
I told a chap I knew a long joke which ended with the sex life of the giant clam in explicit terms.
Months later I had a class which his daughter was in.
Hand up. "Yes?"
"Sir, will you tell us the giant clam joke."

I hear you can still access that stuff using a browser called torr these days on the dark web so there’s still an opening if you so choose...

Actually, let's just quote it to prevent any editing as suggested above

Now, please explain that comment.

That might have been fortunate for you.
A friend and ex-colleague of mine had taught for years before going into exam administration. When he retired from that he thought it would be a good idea to do some supply teaching.
He arrived back at our school. After a week he left saying he wasn’t going to try to teach that lot! He valued his sanity.
