If someone said a Government was going to waste their time telling people to get at least seven hours sleep per night, you'd think it was left wing nannying trash, but nope, it's the Tories, confirming once again that they are as big a bunch of liberals as anyone else. They will issue guidelines similar to the alcohol consumption and smoking dangers ones.

Do they think people in the main, deliberately do not get enough sleep, the stupid cunts.

You are not the first group to confidently think you've destroyed the Christian Faith , nor the first group who have thought they could confront God. The Romans thought they'd destroyed Christianity 2000 years ago, yet they and their cruel empire were the ones who became dust as did every self deluding cult which followed , and as will this current cult of evil and hubris.

You have no answers or comfort for mankind, just a worthless promise of a temporary period during which doing what you will shall be the whole of the law, followed by nothing. It is the philosophy of desolation and despair and those who believe in it will be very deeply disappointed.

You have free choice and you alone must decide whether to believe the counterfeit religion which tells you that you are equal to or greater than any intelligence in the universe, but even if you have somehow been separated from your own spirituality, your common sense should tell you that this is a ridiculous self deception.

It's not exactly "nannying" to advise people of an unhealthy action that is up to them to act on.

Many people would be more than able to get more sleep if they wanted to, such as if they usually stay up late looking at shite on their phones, the light from which leads to disturbed sleep too, or watching several episodes of a TV show (both of which most people apparently do before bed now).

Better to wind down with a few videos of Nazi torch-lit rallies and motivational speeches.

Those of us who are old enough will know that the state (nannying or not) just cycles through a repeat pattern of public information messages on a decade or two loop.
The difference of late is the intensity of the 'advice', to the point on some issues such as smoking, where they have taken the freedom of choice away.
Zambo is right though - a tory government of old wouldn't be making more than a cursory reference to such commonsense stuff.

Anyone (such as Tick) that uses 'gammon' as a racial pejorative is as much a racist as those who use the word nigger and similar pejoratively.

No they haven't
They have affirmed the freedom of choice of people who do not want public places to be contaminated by tobacco smoke and detritus. Smokers can still smoke, just not where it impedes other peoples' freedom.

To be clear, I have no empathy at all with smokers.
But the law bans smoking from any public room, including one which could only permit smokers.
I think smokers should have the choice to congregate if they so desired.

There are also be a lot of people out there who would love to get more than 4 or 5 if they could let alone 7. To them, this advice is not much good. There is a lot of scaremongering about the amount of sleep you need also imo, unless you sufer from chronic insomnia for a long period. You can usually catch up.

Well, you'd have to be totally thick, if you need to be told that smoking, too much alcohol, being a fat cunt, and having no sleep can damage your health.

Waste of money.

Some people, apparently a lot these days, get 6 hours or under a night because they choose to do activities that don't allow them more (or because they might commute), but don't realise just quite how much it can affect their physical and mental health (the same as people who know that drinking alcohol can be unhealthy but think their eight pints on a Friday night is harmless). It seems weird to get worked up over the public being kept informed. How do you know "there is quite a lot of scaremongering about the amount of sleep you need"? Have you done much research into sleep? I doubt it since you seem to believe the myth that a person can "catch up" on sleep.
