Climate & Other Protesters Discussion

Post by Steve Hunt »

They don't like trains and have disrupted the Tube
They don't like cars & buses and have disrupted the road network.
They hate planes for obvious reasons.
They don't like boats because they have diesel engines. .

So how did they travel into London?

Swim up the fucking Thames?

I can't make up my mind whether they're just complete morons carried away with the social justice warrior thing or whether someone's paying them.
There's already enough money making crap inflicted on the public in the name of a made up danger - I mean they're hardly ignoring the "problem" are they ?
Seems to me they're just creating a "public demand " for more taxes and business opportunities in the planet saving industry, yet these mongs are happy to get themselves arrested to make a bit more money for George Soros and Al Gore.

I listened to one of the protesters being interviewed on radio.
Her orgamisation wanted UK carbon emisions to fall to zero, despite being told by 'experts' that this was an impossibility.

Quite a lot of plastic in the boat, I would suggest:

You do have to wonder how they live their everyday lives? I suspect a few days of protesting eases their conscience over car ownership, foreign travel, being part of a consumer society etc.

One things for sure, if the general public were that concerned they would vote green and consume the bare minimum. As it is, most people do not vote green and never will. People want the best and latest car, tv, iphone and coffee maker they can afford. They also want the most foreign holidays they can manage.

All in all, most of the climate protesters seem to be middle-class twats having a break from their normal lives and pretending that they are genuine activists.
Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, we are free at last.

Robin Boardman-Pattison, the 'save the climate chap, who walked off the tv interview seems to enjoy jetting off to foreign parts.

Adam Boulton on Sky News has just interviewed one of the movement's co-founders who was on Waterloo Bridge and in the background one of the protestors was puffing away on a cigarette and polluting the atmosphere with his smoke.

Single use plastic bottles were on show as well.

Maybe we need to protest about the protesters

Not sure I fully understand the logic behind blocking the roads, either.

The end result is more traffic jams and congestion which leads to.................yes,..........................you guessed it............................more pollution than had the traffic been allowed to flow freely.

I can't imagine that any of these freaks are in line for a Darwin award anytime soon.

They aren't protesting transport they are protesting the lack of momentum of environmental policy. This is how direct action protest works.

If they were undertaking a letter writing campaign I doubt we'd see them on the news and other media. Or have forum threads on it.

When the antivivisection movement was at its height people use to criticise them for consuming medicines gleaned from animal research. But without that movement, we wouldn't have had to ban cosmetics testing, great apes testing and introduction of biological regimes that have slashed the number of procedures required to be carried out of animals.

Climate change is an important and legitimate area of debate and I wish these folks all the best to push it up the agenda.

What a snotty little oik.
Frankly I'd send the heavies in and start belting them with clubs.

But seriously what kind of hysterical fuckhead supports this lot of pampered middle class children . I heard one ranting that we'd have no planet. Well I can still see it clearly from the front window.

It may well be, Vespa.

But I'd contest that the actions of these protesters are having a counter productive effect.

Surely attempting to disrupt the transport system is an act of economic terrorism?

They should be confined to waving flags and dancing about on acid.

They want to put the topic on the agenda, they have been successful.

Six coppers to arrest one middle class fuckwit. SIX. What a bunch of useless arseholes the Met are. Mind you when you have as boss of the Met a bimbo cunt who is only there to fulfil a Marxist quota system then you are fucked.

Do you lefty bedsit losers really think these shits will achieve anything ?

Top of the agenda - bollocks - they have put the useless nature of the police and politicians at the top of the agenda.

Those on Waterloo bridge send the lads round and chuck the fuckers in the river.
Talkforum is a truly appalling website.
