Would it have been advisory if remain had won? I don't think so.

I don't know if you noticed but we had one, any you lost.

By rights, you shouldn't even have a voice on the matter as, to restate it, - you lost!

Ah, the classic Leaver's retort:
YOU LOST! YOU LOST!

The referendum was only advisory, anyway. Wish you'd understand that.

Boris Johnson should get on with implementing the better deal he promised during the referendum campaign.

But we were already in the EU so that's hardly the same thing.
So we would have stayed the same anyway.

Would Brexiter politicians have 'accepted the result' if they’d lost. Of course not.

The best thing to do is put the phone away and try again in the morning. :(

Difference being though, is that if 'remain' won, - they'd have instantly been rewarded with the spoils of their victory, - we've waited more than 3 years without.

On reflection, this question I posted on the pointless flurry that is the brexit thread might be better placed here:

"To slightly digress from the pages after pages of the same old same old, - I vaguely recall (pre brexit) facts & figures regarding dozens of EU laws made, which affect the UK, but which the UK government tried to prevent and failed.
Struggling to find details of the topic this morning, but if (still) true in these ever changing times, it would go some way to dispel the remainer attempts to pretend that the EU is a benign body that always gives its members a veto."

In other words, was all of the reports of britain being overruled regarding dozens of EU laws true, or myth?

Boris Johnson taking the country out of the EU with no trade deal after promising a better deal is the equivalent of Remain winning and then claiming a mandate to join the Euro - 'We voted to Remain!'

Boris Johnson and the establishment have a mandate to deliver what they promised in order to win the referendum. Nothing else. If they can’t deliver the BETTER deal they promised we have a problem.
