Labour Leadership Race

Post by Royal24s »

Early favourite Emily Thornberry , who we remember for expressing her utter contempt for the working class with her 'White Van Man' comments is ready to take the helm and order a course straight back at the iceberg at full steam.
According to Caroline Flint on Sky this morning, Thornberry told a labour candidate who'd lost their seat on Thursday , " I'm glad my electors are not as stupid as yours ".

Well there you go then.... That's precisely the attitude of contempt for regular decent folk which has killed socialism in the UK.
I hope she wins because I really won't be sorry to see the threat of this terrible philosophy gone forever, but will they really be daft enough to select another deluded megalomaniac to replace Corbyn ?

Is there ,in fact, ANY one of their dwindling handful of remaining , ( no pun intended), MPs who could be trusted to run a chip shop ?

She would be an absolute car crash for the Labour Party. So I guess that in time honoured tradition, she will be the next leader!

According to what I've heard he's tried to join the Green Party and the Cornish Nationalists during the last couple of days but they both turned him down.
There's talk of him setting up a mini cab firm in partnership with Anna Soubray, but in the mean time they'll have to make do with cameo appearances on BBC shows for £20k a time.

That'd be great for those who hope never to see a labour government again

Well he's firmly identified with the little group of arseholes who got together and hijacked parliament to try and thwart the democratic vote on Brexit. I appreciate that you don't see it like that, but obviously the electorate did and there must come a point where we regard the matter to be settled .

Most of this horrible little group of cheats got their come uppance from the voters, but he's survived because he represents a trendy "champagne socialist" London constituency, but he represents exactly the stuff which made millions of former labour voters walk away.

I doubt that he'll ever be able to disassociate himself from all that to be honest.

I hope the next leader of the Labour party is a woman. But which one? That's the question. I think a female opposition leader would partly neuter Boris at the dispatch box during PMQ's. Let's face it, Boris is a misogynistic git and a cunt of a man. A woman facing him at the dispatch box would be a good thing.

Yvette Cooper is lined-up to be interim leader I believe as the fucking Labour 'executive' fiddle around and find their dicks for the first time.

Angela 'ankle-chain' Rayner? Surely not. She's too thick and working-class. I like her energy, but she's just not upto it I'm afraid. She's a bit of a Rottweiler, she'd be a good whip.

Despite of what others have said, I like Emily Thornbury. Highly educated; she was a barrister in human-rites. I've not a problem with her attitude. I think she would and could stand-up to Boris and not take any of his theatrical Oxford bullshit. I know she may be a bit of a marmite character but from what I can see on the Labour front bench, she is clearly the most educated and erudite.

Then we come to Jess Phillips.

Mate, she is harsh. She is Northern. I'd not complain if I found myself in a foxhole with her as hoards of guerilla insurgents were overrunning us. I think she's capable of keeping the ammo flowing with no regrets. It would be quite a shock to the system if she became the Labour leader. I am not saying I would like it. But I would like it. In a 'I would not like it' way.
