The stranglehold of the Islngton Marxist Party has been broken. I think we all know that, and it opens the way for all sorts of exciting stuff in addition to national sovereignty .
For several decades they maintained their position by calling everyone ism names when they had no logical answer and forbidding the discussion of certain subjects.

As they lick their wounds and fight like rats in a sack to eliminate each other from the leadership race in their sect and feast upon the political corpse of their beloved leader, they are weak and unable to denounce free thinkers , so is this the opportunity we've been waiting for to have a free and open political conversation and re establish the rights to free speech and thought we used to take for granted ?

Otherwise, the legal system kicks in with for example slander, libel and other laws.

Looks like trolling with the new threads which have appeared in recent nights. This begs the question, why do we need to have new threads echoing basically the same points in existing threads? Mods, can you merge threads please? This section’s becoming flabby and unwieldy to read.

You're quite right that I started a few threads there to try and get things going a bit Lawnsy, but more in the spirit of breaking the ice at an awkward party than "trolling".

The state intervening to dictate what is and is not an " acceptable" opinion through the criminal law is very different to the ability of individuals to seek civil remedies and damages if someone harms their reputation by lying about them.

Well it isn't going to bode well if courts are now making scientific facts inadmissible as evidence because they qualify as hate speech first.

Surely that is the first place these freedoms should reign.

I should clarify that. It's enshrined in law in the USA , which is where the expression became part of the language . Of course that's not the case in the UK and most certainly not north of the border - I read over my post and it's so poorly phrased that it's misleading.
