Extreme danger !!! UN might be bidding for power.

There are various conspiracy theories about the public health emergency, and I've yet to find any plausible.
At a time when government has taken emergency powers and started being suspiciously generous ,( there's no such thing as a free lunch), we've felt reasonably comfortable in that they haven't any longer got the police or military muscle to be too oppressive.

However, the UN are trying to stick their noses in and the Secratary General was tonight talking about helping individual nations cope with the crisis and it's aftermath, and in his words "the need for global governance ".

Could they actually be trying one last desperate and very extreme ploy to achieve globalism just as it seemed defeated ?

We must in no circumstances allow foreign troops on British soil and we must not allow any legislative or executive powers to be passed to the UN. This is potentially a serious threat and I would encourage everyone to make their feelings strongly known to their MPs about this genuinely worrying development
'"Beauty is truth, truth beauty,
That is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know".

Why have you used three exclamation marks when one was perfectly adequate?
No need for the space before them, either…

The Grammar Police have arrived. God knows what Subs would do if you had a barbecue in the local park.

It would depend entirely on whether barbecues were permitted by the relevant local authority

No need for a superfluous comma and two extra full stops either.

No, the comma is correct in that instance.
The ellipsis is just used for dramatic effect, to add a touch of intrigue to the post

If the UN conduct this global coup with the panache, verve and competence they bring to everything else they try, then we'll be governing ourselves for a few centuries yet.

hmmm...not sure about that, Sub.

I don’t see that comma as being right.

It certainly doesn’t look right.

Well spotted.
What an outrageous idea that there might be joined-up responses to global problems.

does anyone here believe there is an aim for a one world government and a cashless society, or is it more conspiracy hocus pocus?

Or years, P.

You have been warning about this for years.

Do you think U Thant concocted this plan decades ago and a deadly plague was eventually unleashed on the world to make it so?
