6 o clock news on Radio 4 reported that the UK is on target to meet its vaccination target by monday. Was seen as highly optimistic when it was set. That is the news, end of. The BBC being the BBC had to find a negative. Apparently there's one vaccination centre in London that isn't operating to full capacity. They interviewed a self confessed Labour Party supporting scientist to have a whinge.

Can you think of another reason why they'd have broadcast it ? If we were going to fall short of the target, or fail on every level as they're doing in the EU, reporting on possible reasons why is perfectly valid.

Suspect the scientist (Sir Paul Nurse) contacted the BBC himself and they were only to keen to air his whining.
