It's not an insult FFS. If someone's got a headache, do you refrain from saying "have a lie down" because you're playing the man, not the ball? Don't be a pansy Alc.AlcoholBrazil wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:20 amPlay the ball , not the man. Hillers with the studs up again.

Exactly. Compared to some of the insults thrown around here, that's tame.kancutlawns wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 4:17 pmIt's not an insult FFS. I didn't have a headache and didn't feel tired. It was a clear attempted put down because I dared to post something that Hillman disapproved off.kancutlawns wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 4:17 pmIt's not an insult FFS. It was mild, but if I'd have replied, there is a risk of a tit for tat episode that fucks up threads.
I back off on all posts now like that, it's not worth the hassle of getting involved with posters, and then being accused of bias. That's the risk with mods getting involved with D&D expressing opinions, and I don't think it's worth it. I can see a time in the not too distant future that I'll jack in posting in this section.

I get what you’re saying Zummers, it’s not so much an insult as a put down which Hillman has form for as he is condescending and knows how to demean others.

Re: BBC Propaganda
Strangely enough it was far from an insult. It was meant to be a mildly amusing way of suggesting you calm down.Zambo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 4:31 pmI didn't have a headache and didn't feel tired. I understand the resentment of the BBC but suggesting it's full of "miliant socialists and liberals"- did you really want us to take that seriously?
I don't doubt you will find a good number of "liberals" there. For all kinds of reasons. It's a highly-educated workforce, and most of them could earn more in commercial broadcasting but they have faith in public-service broadcasting. But there are considerable controls to ensure that people can't simply broadcast what they think. More so than in the private sector.

Re: BBC Propaganda
Surely Piers 'I like to hack the phone of Miley Dowler' is far worse than any of the shite the BBC can pollute the airwaves with? I could image Piers Morgan getting-off on masturbating over the dead corpse of Lin Russell if it made good copy. Jerking-off as Levi Bellfield was cleaning his blood-covered hammer. As for Susanna 'Three-kids, no husband' Reid. Let's not go there. I know her game. Trust me.

Calm the fuck down. “Masturbating”, “dead corpse”, “three kids, husband Reid”.
