Positive Things to Come out of Covid-19

1. The end of "We will deliver your package between 8am and 8pm, and require a signature, else it will be returned to our regional depot 40 miles away."

Now you get a knock on the door and its left outside.

2. Hopefully, a massive correction in the value of retail property. Big chains have gone bust around the country, but landlords still expect big rents for units.

6. Flexible working. A 5 day working week in an office is more than likely a thing of the past. Companies will offer it as a chance for flexibility whilst eyeing up massive savings in rent. Win - Win unless you're the landlord

Exactly, the only things holding it back were:

1. Everyone has an office. Where do you bring your clients to?
2. Staff cant be trusted to be productive from home, especially those on the lower pay bands.

Think I saw my first false widow spider last night. But the dog ate it before I could check properly.
It was small brown and bulbous. So was the spider.

Venomous spiders. One of the few success stories we have had in the past couple of decades.
They came over in holidaymakers luggage from the Canarys, it's reckoned and are now all over the island and thriving. People are getting bit all the time in the summer. It can be quite bad.
Ireland no longer has the title of bring the only island free of poisonous animals <insert joke about people here.>.
