Left wing South American regimes and Palestine are what gets the old bastard's blood pumping, no doubt.

Lol
Corbyn: Such congratulation, Much joy, love socialism.
Also Corbyn: Has a reported net worth of three million pounds. His son attended a grammar school (against his wishes, of course).
If you want to be a socialist, live like a socialist.
Oh, but you can be wealthy and a socialist. Sure! That old chestnut.

Being a socialist is about giving all the opportunity to prosper. It is not a negation of wealth, but an ideal for a fairer distribution of wealth among a population to improve their quality of life, not diminish it. Having material gain and giving your loved ones the best opportunities in life isnt anathema to socialism.lambrini wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 8:37 pm Lol

Re: Socialists win election in bolivia
If the goal, or ideal, whatever, of socialism is to create fairness, why hasn't Corbyn offered to distribute his private assets among the population? The Tick wrote:an ideal for a fairer distribution of wealth among a population to improve their quality of life, not diminish it.
I think you'll find it is. Socialism, which creates forced equality, doesn't give people the best opportunities in life. Everyone is equal, thus equally poor, albeit a small elite responsible for pulling the strings. Remember what Orwell said, "all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."Having material gain and giving your loved ones the best opportunities in life isnt anathema to socialism.
Socialism - the seeds of which were responsible for tens of millions of deaths, from China, to the Soviet Union, to Cambodia - will never work effectively.

Re: Socialists win election in bolivia
Far from it. Socialist policies in bolivia for example have lifted millions put of poverty since the mid 2000s. Socialist policies in the 1940s allowed millions of people in the UK to pursue better lives and give opportunities to the upcoming generation of it's time access to better healthcare , housing and education with which they were freer to pursue better personal success than at any time previously. That has regressed most in the last decade under an uber capitalist ideology taking hold.lambrini wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 9:59 pmIf the goal, or ideal, whatever, of socialism is to create fairness, why hasn't Corbyn offered to distribute his private assets among the population? The Tick wrote:an ideal for a fairer distribution of wealth among a population to improve their quality of life, not diminish it.

40+ years of sucking on the public teat too. One of the ultimate career politicians. Enabling a landslide win for this shambles of a government.lambrini wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 8:37 pm Lol
