A child having a mobile phone (you dont even know if they're able to keep up with PAYG or contract payment) isnt justification for ignoring its welfare with regard food.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 2:33 pmThe Tick wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 2:27 pmOwnership of a mobile isnt a yardstick by which to measure poverty.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 2:15 pm 53% of kids own a mobile phone by the age of seven in the UK.

Yet we're meant to believe there's millions of kids going to bed each night starving. Utter bullshit.

Re: Child hunger
Yeah they are starving, and that is because when you give chavs who have kids benefits, they'd sooner spend it on gadgets to impress other chavs than feed their kids. It's not the kids who are the problem it's their fuckwit parents who should be doctored. The kids become a problem when they grow up like their parents and do the same because they know no different.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 2:15 pm 53% of kids own a mobile phone by the age of seven in the UK.

What happens if you can afford to feed their kids when they are born, but when they are 8 years old you get made redundant due to a pandemic?theleader82 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:31 pm Should parents only have children if they can afford to feed them, or is it the governments responsibility to pay for a child food until they’re 18?

We're already seeing a declining birth rate in Europe. Ideologies like the OPs wont help with that.

Free school meals were introduced by the Liberal Party in 1906.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 8:03 pm Incredible how all the bleeding heart liberals jumping on the St Marcus of Wythenshawe bandwagon have never thought of implementing this policy throughout all the years their parties were in power.

Indeed. The bible says that the sins of the father should be brought upon the child up to the forth generation. But the bible also confirms that God later said that the sins of the father should not be brought upon the child. The Conservatives haven't got that far through the bible yet.Zippy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 7:41 am There are sadly parents out there who don't give a shit about their kids. Conversations with teachers I know inform me of this. Sadly it's always the children who suffer.
However, given the pandemic and its impact on the economy there's probably some good parents struggling and I wouldn't have begrudged the extra funding as a tax payer.

Better to give it in the form of free school meals then.Gregory Follis wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 10:03 amAgree, not the kids fault, so they should be looked after. Problem is if they provide the help in the form of cash, then the bad parents won't spend it on their kids.Zippy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 7:41 am There are sadly parents out there who don't give a shit about their kids. Good, if you cant afford the to have the internet at home a mobile is the only way you can apply for a job - aside from the libraries, which are closed due to covid.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 2:33 pmThe Tick wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 2:27 pmOwnership of a mobile isnt a yardstick by which to measure poverty.Holden Mcgroyne wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 2:15 pm 53% of kids own a mobile phone by the age of seven in the UK.

Serious question.
Has there been a story of an actual family who claim to have starving kids ? One that details exactly how much they receive in income/benefits/credits and a break down of how they spend it ?
