Just a shame that a good broadcaster gone to waste.
Much what I thought when he left the BBC.
The BBC didn't want him.

Doesn't fit in with their left wing agenda
As he tells it they wanted him but they didn't want to do the type of shows he wanted to do.
Neil was over 70, an age when most people are set in their ways and know what they are comfortable doing. Seems that there were talks about him doing an interview kind of show, sounds like a chat show really, and I suppose, as he's mostly been on the political side of broadcasting, he may not have wanted to interview, say, a pop star or sportsman, on their views of the political situation.
Anyway, I doubt he's short of a bob or two so can pick an choose what he does.

If andrew neil had a disagreement with the BBC over the nature of his work for them, that's fair enough.

But he became a victim of his own conceit to create a right wing alternative to established UK news broadcasters.

His prospective audience would be wetherspoons loving, multiculturalism hating idiots. Not telegraph reading hoity toity types.

GBNews must be a parody TV station.

Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.

GB News need a new slogan for a relaunch.

"You couldn't make it up...but we will."

Tbf Norway are in the E.U under different terms.

I didn't actually watch it, but whatever it was, it was disgusting!

Ok the EEA then, just no CAP, EU customs, trade or security and monetary union. Sounds ideal then, so what will the new Eurosceptic Norwegian party have to complain about then? Ahh...freedom of movement I imagine.

Senterpartiet thesis is that Norway is too centralised in the cities and the EEA is part of that theme.

It's official, Neil has tweeted that he's resigned as Chairman of GB News and head presenter.
Well, that big idea didn't last long, as far as he's concerned, wonder how long the whole thing will last.

I’d love to find out his reasons for resigning. I doubt we’ll ever find out. Maybe he’s just trying to preserve his reputation?

According to the bit of news report I heard he'd said that he it was time for him to review some of his commitments.
He's 72 so I suppose he thinks it's time to take things a bit easier, but if that was the case one could be forgiven for wondering why he took on a venture of this size.
