"It's my last year so I don't want to put myself under too much pressure," he told Sky Sports News HQ.

"I don't worry about it now. I go up there nice and relaxed. If I win, I win. If I don't it's not the end of the world anymore.

"Competitive-wise, I think whatever I earn this year then that will go towards my ranking and if that qualifies me for the year after, 2018, then I'll play. If not then I'll bow out."

"In 2018 I'll still do the Premier League if I'm invited," he said. "It's an invitational and if Barry [Hearn] said 'if you want to do it, then you can do it'."

Not sure I've seen it mentioned and no daft darts thread yet, but just noticed the BDO is on C4 every afternoon. Mon the Wolf.

C4 for the afternoon sessions, BT sport for the evening sessions, one semi-final each and both showing the mens final (womens final only on BT).

Meh, I jump on the train and go to Wembley for the FA Trophy final most years and thoroughly enjoy it. I look upon the 'Lakeside' in much the same way. This may sound patronising to both non-league football and BDO darts but it's not meant to.
