ash certainly belongs in the control room, he is ruining
the Whale show, quite often talking over James.
ash is trying to justify his role of co-presenter
which I suppose has been written into the contract
I've had a gutful... I fancy a punch up

I think it's probably just the scouse accent. His voice sounds deeper than Paul Nuttall's. Of course that could just be the phone line making him sound different. He is right though that our politicians are mad.

No mate, we were talking about a Scouse caller to the show. Ash is unmistakably Brummie.

Another great show today.

The Katie Price party boss conversation was quite funny.

I think Danny Baker is alright, nowhere near the 'genius' that he seems to get tagged by the luvies, and Baker always seems to mention that his shows are different, free-flowing, nonsensical fun but with his ones you get a feeling if anything most of it is plagarism from morning zoo types and more of him craving that image, than it coming from the hear or being original.

Whilst Whale does genuinely move that way and his 3hrs often go with the flow of what is happening e.g. that guy who called last week to say his train had been delayed etc so Whale told him to speak to the nearest person he saw - ended up talking to a Bulgarian woman, who ended up on air too etc. If that was Baker, it would have been done there and then for the promotion and never talked about again, whilst Whale chased it up and talked to them both for a week or so without any of the 'look at me' braggery that Baker would've.

Whale truly is an excellent broadaster, and delighted he's back. I tried his LBC program - too many ads, too dull/lightweight, and on at an awkward time.

Poor Mrs W.

I listened to his show last night and it was pretty moving.

He made the program all about cancer awareness and had some great guests on going into detail about that Cunt of a disease. A moving show, and a brave man.

They're getting more and more callers of late and whilst it's 20 years on, it's still funny hearing him and Ash together.

Indeed kev-o. Whale and Ash are still a fantastic double act. Jimmy W is a true professional and seems a really good bloke.

Whale on good form today. He's 'done' a U-turn on Trump and said that is James Brokenshire becomes PM or ''a Minister of note'' he'll be the shortest ever minister.

Radio legend though and going through a horrible time ''All I really want to do is get drunk with Ash after the show, but I won't '' after a tough few days with Mrs W's illness.

Love Whaley, and a radio G-D.

I feel very sad for James who is apparently a really nice bloke away from his radio persona. Been a fan since the James Whale Radio Show on the TV years ago. A pioneer who many have copied.

He & his production team got it wrong. No debate about that. He should issue an apology immediately. You’d have to have a heart of stone not to accept a sincere apology from him given the circumstances.

I’ve listened to Whale since he took over from Caesar the Geezer & he’s on the right side of every social issue - from the death penalty to abortion.

I really, really hope he resists the advice/temptation to dig his heels in.
