To be honest with you Innkeeper, I take no pleasure in seeing the fans of any club suffer the way Hammers fans are.
They have their bad element, as all our clubs do.
But also like the rest of us, the vast majority are decent enough people.
I always loved going the Boleyn when I travelled away.
Always went to a pub called the Earl of Wakefield, on the walk from East Ham tube station to the ground.

We were always cordially received and some of the fellows we got to know would come to whatever pub we were using near Goodison when they came oop north.
Sadly it is closed now but I have fond memories of it
And I always loved the fact that there were six tower blocks by Upton Park, all called after one of Henry VIII’s wives.......Catherine Parr House, Jane Seymour House etc.
That horrible shower of Tory loving carpetbaggers which have brought them to the brink though.....I would not be particulary saddened to see them come a cropper though
Alex Young, Howard Kendall, Andy King, Timmy Cahill, Dixie Dean and Mike Parry.....we'll never see the likes of them again.
