Yet another case of the ref's lack of action resulting in players being sent off
Wilshere is pulling Stephens shirt for ages, and nearly ripped it off. What was the ref doing at this time? Fuck all. He can argue that he was playing advantage because Southampton retained possession, but there was actual no advantage because the Southampton player was closed down. Teams who keep possession after a foul against them haven't necessarily got an advantage. Ref should have blown up and avoided two red cards. As things stood, he took the correct action, but instigators should not get away with it, because refs have read a situation wrong.

I suppose what makes the PL so popular is that sometimes the top teams will lose to the smaller teams.

It's striking how often retaliation is punished disproportionately harshly compared with the initial offence.
Usually retaliation is nothing worse than a push, even if it's a push in the face.
Yet the original foul is often bad enough to cause - or potentially cause - an injury.

Penalty for the team who are constantly complaining that refereeing decisions always go against them.
Well, they aren't complaining now!

Poor decision that from Moss. Still, we could be 5 down.
