If he just owned up the first time it was mentioned after the Presidential election it would be completely forgotten by now. Why now swap one totally implausible story for another one.

There's only one allegation of rape there.

I know I’m repeating myself but I’d be genuinely interested - Does anyone know or have a theory why Trump is bothering to lie about Stormy Daniels when (my guess is) nobody would care if he just told the truth? Nobody voted for Trump thinking he was a monk. Am I missing something obvious?
