I'll tell you what, what makes it worse is the dick sucking of the players when they are clearly playing terribly by Cumonface and Hoddle. Its unbearable. Just say what we can see, theyre not doing very well, stop saying theyre fucking awesome.

Quick, the killer pass to Pickford’s on. Maybe even a ball into centre midfield and sideways because there are no runners on. Cowards.

Matterface and Glenda trying to take scraps from this poor display and banging on about the Golden Boot for Kane and fourth place as a surrogate World Cup.

Overegging England’s advancement yet this makes how far behind the three team who were officially better than are. France would have pissed all over them.

That's the thing. I expect Croatia to be mullered tomorrow, and we'll find out if Lovren is "one of the world's best defenders", as he modestly described himself the other day...

We should never have played this game as it's a waste of time that no one is going to watch. But as we have and we've lost it's made the teams prospects go from hopeful optimism to typical England. That's three games we've lost out of 6.

Touch wood we'll still improve under Southgate but it's put the dampers on an otherwise decent WC run and made me (at least) feel like we've actually gone nowhere and achieved little.

Think that's a bit harsh, m4rk. Belgium are a top side and deserve to be in the final ahead of Croatia. No disgrace in losing to them. The group game was effectively a meaningless reserve tie.

I think that winning a WC penalty shootout was a big psychological breakthrough, and the players will be better for the whole experience.

It’s a shame the next wc is in Qatar. I don’t think I’ll enjoy it with being near xmas, and being so hot making playing difficult . Fans won’t go because they won’t be allowed to drink
