I think with a programme like this, golden age is subjective to when you watched it, for me I remember first watching the last couple of Jon pertwre series and then Tom Baker which I would put more as my era, than a golden age.

Another triumph for the equality fanatics, but to be fair, male or female would have struggled with that pathetic storyline.

It's a cracking get out of jail card though zambo, and is being repeated for the last few years.
Make a film or programme in an existing franchise that panders to people who don't watch such stuff.
Call any criticism of such media sexist, racist, manbabies.
When film/programme flops blame a hate campaign by racist sexist manbabies.

Yeah, doesnt make any money though. They can say what they want, but the new ghostbuster film still lost milllions and millions of dollars.
They'll pack it in soon. Causes are only good if they generate money, this one doesnt.

I have greatest respect for Rugby Union, they started it mid-way through the 19th century. Thankfully we grabbed it and turned it into a spectacle on 29th August 1895

It's a pile of shit anyway and if it annoys the show's whiny dateless wonder fanbase then it fine by me.

If Doctor Who wants to be a woman now, who are we to argue with him?

It's an alien creature with 2 hearts or 4 hearts or something as far as I recall, whose form changes each time they regenerate. Imagine if they remade Hitchhikers Guide and one of Zaphod's heads was a woman ... people would be outraged, but still happy to accept a human with two heads.
Was there the same shit when the computer in Red Dwarf became a woman? I mean that also wasn't a real thing, but a creation from a fictitious SF universe ... just like Dr Who.

When did Dr. Who cease to be a childrens' programme?
I haven't watched since I was 13.

Re: New Doctor Who a 'woman'.
I think the old show was a children's show - in that 5pm slot - and the reboot is a family show, hence the 7pm slot. But I'm no expert as I last watched it seriously when Tom Baker was in it.
Also the reboot presumably wants to appeal to fans of the original who are now adults whereas the old show had only a single target audience.

Re: New Doctor Who a 'woman'.
How dare anyone mention that wretched children's show in the same paragraph as Hitchikers!
