Sadly not live, but fifa.com always show bite-size clips of the highlights. But Christmas is so busy, a 90 second clip is just the right size
between shopping trips.

So you've bought into the consuermism side of the holiday? Sorry, but I've no sympathy.

Alc’s on the side of Leavers so yes, no sympathy. Why do you not buy into consumerism? Is it because you can’t afford to or out of conviction?

This competition has been going in one guise or another since 1960 and the overall total Confederation wins are Europe 31 South America 25. Though in recent years the record is 10-1 to Europe and counting. So it came as moderate surprise to see River Plate had lost their semi-final to Al Ain on penalties, the fourth occasion in recent seasons the team representing the Copa Liberadores have lost to the minnows of Africa and Asia.

The drain of talent from South America to Europe over the past two or three decades has largely contributed to the drop in standard of South America football for sure, but nonetheless there should still be enough talent to overcome the TP Mazemba's and Al Ain's of Africa and Asia.

Yeah I saw that result. Weird innit, when you see things like the libertadores you think the standards not bad, maybe championship level, but it cant be if theyre losing to teams like this.

It's almost a bye to the trophy. Why Bale has not won the Balon Dor this year is criminal , after his heroics in the CL final too.

I enjoyed the one off finals in Tokyo just before Christmas every season in the 1980s when the likes of Liverpool, Forest and Villa who won the old European Cup played the likes of Penerol, Flemengo and Independiente. Even with the quality of English teams at the time, they struggled to keep up with the pace and skill of the South Americans. The matches were decent rare as well. Now, this championship us meaninglesss because of the chasm between the top European sides and every other continent.

People don’t give a shit about it and hence why no live coverage in this country.

It is still hilarious when smug speccy twats like Pat Nevin declare that an English team only has to turn up to win it, only to
lose twice to a goal on the break . Only Fergie paid any respect to it and got the trophy. Fucking Benitez and his experiments.

Real Madrid trounce Al Ain 4-1 winning the trophy for the third consecutive time and fourth in total.
It is the 11th time a European team has won it, to 4 wins for South American teams. This match concludes the last meaningful sporting event of 2018.
