Froomes in intensive. He crashed into a wall after taking his hands of the handlebars to answer his phone. Hope he improves

Sounds like a nasty accident with many broken bones.

Not sure why he would take his hands off if still going down the hill at 60 mph, allegedly?

BBC News Channel reporting on Froome in which they said he was going at 35mph, not 60mph as I'd heard before.

Sort of makes slightly more sense?

Perhaps some confusion between kph and mph, with the French reporting it as around 60 kph which is 30+ mph

Thomas crashed out of Tour of Switzerland yesterday and was taken straight to hospital.

Hopefully he should be ok for the Tour
