GameDay™
Rushden and Baker has predictably started poorly. Same Rushden drivel driving everyone down.
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

Re: Game Day
Honestly, Rushden is the absolute antithesis of the “breaking news” agenda Lee Clayton wants. If someone rushed in to the studio with the news City had fired Pep and appointed Alex Ferguson Rushden would say “Oh, your shoes are nice, they’re purple, my shoes are brown, phone in now if you think brown shoes are boring”.

Was the tallest person on their way to a game. It was bizarre but that's Rushden. Naughty Ellie ruined it by lying.
It's the same shit he always does, just a different name beside him.

Re: Game Day
Who exactly does Rushden know and what has this meant in terms of his continued employment? There is zero value in anything he has ever offered in his output.

Is it meant to be ironic ?

Did Baker say Trowell ? A feature of his own podcast.
Rushden will steal material from anywhere, his main shtick is Danny Baker Lite as channelled through an amateur fanboy, but he will use stuff from I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, Football Podcasts, etc. The net effect is like that TV show where Mumbling Bob Mills ripped-off The Larry Sanders Show format but with Michael Barrymore - excruciating.

Johnny Vaughan did this one on the Warm Up years ago. But he managed to make it funny, and didn't drag it out for an eternity. 10 minutes, move on.

JV Premier League. Rushden National League South - one of the part-time teams. My feeling is he’s just so not what Clayton wants he’ll be out on his arse when his contract’s up.The Ghost of Alex Higgins wrote:JV was solid gold compared to this tinpot pisscunt

Public schoolboy, Oxford graduate, wealthy Dad with lots of connections. He has that sense of amour de soi that is so powerful he wants to share it with everyone else. An immensely slappable bloke who would be happy doing his show with all the plugs pulled out in a studio by himself, because then he'd be alone with his target audience.

Re: Game Day
Hmmm. That’s bad, because Lee Clayton went to a comp and left at 16 and has no qualifications whatsoever. This may induce an inferiority complex in him which makes it hard for him to fire Rushden - not a problem when he’s firing the likes of Parry.Erskine Might wrote:The Ghost of Alex Higgins wrote:Who exactly does Rushden know and what has this meant in terms of his continued employment? A rule of thumb for life: never appoint someone called Lee to any position of importance. 99 times out of 100, he's better off making the tea.

Re: Game Day
I may be dense (well, I am) and the brains at TalkSport far greater than mine but, given there are three commentaries in a day, didn't, er, Matchday LIVE seem an appropriate title for the show?
