Going down the Non-League vortex. Following the old Hereford United, Chester City , Crazy Gang Wimbledon .
They may bounce back in another form. An Aldi or Lidl will probably built on their stadium land.

Bury used, decades ago, to have one of the best drained playing surfaces in any of the leagues. Locals reckoned the inhabitants of the adjacent graveyard were drinking the water from the pitch.
In the great freeze-up of 1963, Gigg Lane was the only ground in the region to be playable. It never froze up. The terraces were another thing. The wind whictled down from the open end [from the north-east] and it was bitter. I tried to drink a cup of Bovril and the liquid was blowing away from my lips!.
I'll be sorry to see them disappear. Bury, not my lips.

return to t' mill or factory on Monday morning for another week of graft . Aye lad ! What became of their ilk.

They could probably buy the club between them Although now thye might have some problems as they are joint owners of another league club. Are they allowed to invest?

Accrington Stanley went bust in the 60's resurrected and now are in League 1.
Bury can do the same.

Accrington Stanley, who are they?
Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline.

It's way past time some of the money was filtered down to div 1 and div 2 clubs, but only those who have acted with responsibility. It sounds like Stewart Day was a fucking clown though unfortunately.

That seems to be the general opinion in the area.
One player, who hadn't been paid for months, had an argument with him on the local radio. I didn't hear it but the reports said that Day was dismissive, and wouldn't even accept that the players needed the money.

That wasn't Day, that was Dale, the current chairman who has basically asset stripped what was left of the club after the previous regime.
